Sean Murphy
Executive Director
Sean earned his bachelor’s degree in government from Eastern Washington University. During his senior year, he spent time on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., and with the Washington state Legislature in Olympia. Following graduation Sean spent time with a leading political fundraising organization in Washington state, Newman Partners, where he was assigned to a diverse group of prominent accounts. After two years of working with fundraising campaigns, Sean moved on to work in the official offices of Governor Christine Gregoire, U.S. Representative Brian Baird, and, most recently, with U.S. Senator Patty Murray. While working for the Senator as her South Sound Regional Director and Statewide Veterans Outreach Coordinator, he was able to work on an extensive list of issues affecting current military and veterans. Sean resides in Olympia, where he shares a home with his dog Rainier. When Sean is not working, he enjoys spending time at his family’s fishing resort in Alaska, volunteering at his local fire department, and practicing his golf game, which is a work in progress.
Suzanne Lam
Director of Programs and Events
Suzanne Lam has been with PNDC since 2008 and has played a key role in PNDC's growth during that time. As a Director, Suzanne is primarily responsible for managing PNDC's revenue to carry out goals set by the Board of Directors. Suzanne's budgeting and forecasting expertise have allowed PNDC to dramatically increase the scope of it's program offerings to facilitate increased opportunities for education and interaction among it's members. Suzanne also manages PNDC's marketing campaign and assists the Executive Director with the daily management of the company.
Suzanne recieved her MBA from the University of Portland. Prior to relocating to the west coast she studied business at the University of Connecticut and managed an auditing team in the Directors and Officers Claims Unit while working for CHUBB Specialty Insurance. In addition to her position at PNDC, Suzanne also teaches an undergraduate level Economics Course. Suzanne truly enjoys working with her students and enthusaistically uses her professional experience to aid her teaching in the classroom. When free time presents itself, Suzanne loves spending time with her family. She currently resides in Vancouver, WA.
Lisa Brookshier
Procurement Councelor
Lisa is a native Oregonian and stays very active in her community. Lisa earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Portland State University and an MBA at Marylhurst University. For six years Lisa served as the Business Development Manager in the metal manufacturing division of Northwest Technologies, Inc., five years as a member of the PNDC. Since 2000 Lisa has worked as an outreach specialist for the Oregon Student Assistance Commission presenting workshops at colleges around the state. Lisa's strengths encompass all aspects of business development and management to include planning, organizational development, sales and marketing. With a commitment to service and enthusiasm in assisting companies grow; Lisa is dedicated to contributing to comprehensive and sustainable economic growth in the Pacific Northwest.
