This two-day program will cover the rules and procedures businesses need to know to comply with the EAR administered by the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS-Commerce), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) administered by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC-State) and other related export controls. Whether you produce dual-use or US Munitions Listed items, or sell into a global supply chain supporting licensable end products or technologies, this conference will provide a comprehensive overview of  applicable export controls.

Topics will include:

  •  licensing procedures
  • developing an Export Management Compliance Program
  • complying with trade sanctions, and
  • regulatory changes brought about by recent export control reform.

Attendees will gain awareness about how EAR, ITAR, OFAC regulations can impact your  business and how compliance practice affects your international shipping, procurement, travel, foreign visitors to your facility, and research collaborations.  Participants will learn key steps in integrating compliance management into your business practice to mitigate risks and avoid penalties associated with violations.

With proper EAR and ITAR training, you can avoid inadvertent penalties and continue to operate efficiently in your business.

This is a MUST for you and your company to attend if...

  • You are a supplier to domestic or foreign customers, involved directly or indirectly in the defense industry, or produce dual-use items
  • You are looking to update your internal export program to meet changes in U.S. government requirements
  • Your export compliance plan includes ongoing training

Even if you do not export, you may need to comply with EAR or ITAR!

Anthony Dearth, Director of Licensing, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC), U.S. Dept. of State, Washington D.C. (virtual)
