This event will focus on the 14 key areas of the NIST 800-171 compliance standard and the NIST Cybersecurity framework as an example of accepted industry practices to keep your company safe. Presentations will address cybersecurity as business management topics in plain English.

Who Should Attend:
Recommended for small to mid-size businesses that are just starting a formal cybersecurity program or working towards compliance and want a solid introduction to cybersecurity. Content will apply to many businesses with a focus on manufacture and Government contractors (direct and sub-contractors). We encourage both technical and management staff to attend to aid in collaboration on your businesses cybersecurity processes.

Keynote: We are very pleased to welcome Patricia R. Toth from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), to the Northwest. She brings a deep knowledge of cybersecurity and the ability to help all size businesses understand how to become more secure and maintain compliance. Toth is a Computer Scientist at NIST MEP and serves as the Cybersecurity Program Manager. She has over 30 years of experience in cybersecurity and has worked on various NIST Cybersecurity guidance documents including NISTIR 7621 Small Business Information Security: The Fundamentals and one of the lead authors of the NIST 800-171 standard.
