Jerry Leishman, National Practice Director, CORTAC Group

Jerry Leishman is the National Director for Regulatory Compliance at the CORTAC Group.  Jerry works with the national defense industrial base (DIB) organizations of all sizes to transform ideas into world class products and solutions. 

Jerry is a passionate, collaborative, results-oriented thought leader and executor who has a track record of successfully envisioning, building, launching, and selling innovative security & compliance solutions, products, and technologies.  He has completed many successful projects for regulatory compliance, security, and privacy initiatives including ISO 27001, SOC1/2, ITAR, DFARS, EAR and FedRAMP certifications.

 Prior to joining CORTAC Group, Mr. Leishman worked with Bridge Partners Consulting, Microsoft, and Andersen Consulting where he guided commercial and defense regulatory compliance initiatives for Microsoft and other large enterprise customers.

 

Indy Crowley, Senior Compliance Advisor, CORTAC Group

Mr. Indy Crowley is a Senior Compliance Advisor with CORTAC Group. He holds Master’s Degrees in National Security Affairs from the U.S. Naval War College and in Mathematics, Computer Science from the University of Memphis. In his current role, Mr. Crowley works externally with companies providing products, services and systems to the DoD to define security and compliance solutions. The emphasis is to create independently verifiable technical capabilities and processes that meet and ideally exceed regulatory and industry best practice for the DoD and defense industrial base companies. 

Mr. Crowley has led or supported several compliance projects at Microsoft including Azure’s FedRAMP accreditation for the U.S. Government, DoD Cloud Accreditation, ITAR, Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) and DFARS Cyber Security and Reporting.  Prior to joining CORTAC Group, Mr. Crowley worked with Bridge Partners Consulting where he guided Defense Industrial Base cyber regulatory compliance initiatives for Microsoft and other large customers. He is concurrently an adjunct research associate with the Institute for Defense Analysis supporting the analysis of cyber security technologies. These positions followed a career in the U.S. Navy, higher education and health care information systems and management.  Mr. Crowley is a CCSP, CISSP, CIPP–US and CIPM.

 

Ace Swerling, Director of Security Solutions , CORTAC Group

Ace Swerling has over 30 years of security experience and has helped many of the largest organizations in the world to expand and protect their business by taking a balanced approach. Starting at a large US Defense contractor, he learned that while security is critical to defending the country, complying with regulations, and resisting attack; it is also critical to facilitating collaboration and ensuring economical results. He is dedicated to security and collaboration as business enablers by identifying business needs, defining processes, mapping to technical requirements, selecting vendors, and implementing quality solutions while managing risk and ensuring compliance.

Ace specializes in IT strategy & security architecture, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), product ownership supporting requirements definition, product selection, and implementation,  identity and access management,  hybrid cloud adoption, integration, and management, email, collaboration, document classification & handling, and customer and supply chain portals.

 

Troy Belanger, MSIA, CISSP, CORTAC Group

Troy Belanger has over 25 years of experience in US government security compliance, cloud computing security, IT strategy and implementation, and data security. As a former intelligence officer: Troy architected, directed & led several significant Intelligence Community and Department of Defense initiatives in data and behavioral sciences, information architecture and data security, large scale analytics, data governance, Insider Threat/Risk (800-53) and compliance. Troy specializes in information architecture, compliance, data security, practical application of machine learning, strategy development for security, and supply chain risk management.

Troy’s experience spans to the areas of cyber, information security & data solutions architecture, and cybersecurity strategy development. International experience in multiple security domains, applied analytics and actionable intelligence. Troy takes a holistic approach to problem solving and a Kaizen approach to technology integration. Calm, experienced leadership with teams ranging from 5 to 200 people in diverse, disruptive, and challenging environments.

 

Thomas Eide, Marketing Partner, CORTAC Group

Tom Eide is one of three founding partners of CORTAC Group. Tom has over 30 years of experience under his belt. He’s held jobs as a Program Manager, Systems Engineer, Proposal Manager, and Mergers and Acquisitions Integration Lead. Furthermore, he excels in any project within the realms of Aerospace and Defense, Systems Integration/IT, Software and Cloud Solutions, and Healthcare. Tom has a BS in Astronautical Engineering from the US Air Force Academy, a MS in Telecommunications from the University of Colorado, and completed the Mergers and Acquisition Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
