The Department of Defense’s (DoD) New Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) released in early 2020, is a new tiered cybersecurity framework that all DoD contractors (both prime and subcontractors) will need to implement. The CMMC adds audits to assure compliance to one of 5  CMMC levels, depending on your contract or flow-down requirements. This seminar will provide expert guidance on what defense contractors need to know about these requirements, a timeline for implementation, and overview of the areas covered (focusing on CMMC levels 2-4).

Content will include discussion on these rapidly evolving requirements, including:

  • How to decide what CMMC level you need

  • How to prepare for your audit

  • Best practices in implementing a CMMC compliant cybersecurity program

“The Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)) recognizes that security is foundational to acquisition and should not be traded along with cost, schedule, and performance moving forward.” Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition & Sustainment Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification website (www.acq.osd.mil/cmmc)

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: This event is designed for management, IT, security and operational staff from small to mid-size defense prime and subcontractors and will focus on CMMC levels 2-4 (as broad reference, if you needed to comply with NIST 800-171 because of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), you will likely audit to CMMC level 3)
